Le Fooding. A concept, really. Easy dictum for all things encompassing food, wine, the table. It means: cookbooks, sea salt, sous vide, Priorato, crudo, lardo, brin d'mour, Bandol, donburi, tagine, taleggio, Le Opera, Richard Olney, alleppo pepper, Claudio Corallo, Mostly Martha, Diana Kennedy. All things food and wine and provisions for the gullet as known and experienced by me. My one-track-world. The burden I carry. This is the stock of this blog. This and a few tangents about decanted love, Oregon, New Mexico and the Steelers.
I never claimed to be a writer. Words actually annoy me. Annoying to speak, annoying to read, annoying to hear. But the thoughts are fleeting and so they must take shape as something...words I guess. So I will attempt to assemble a linear thought or two. I'm certain it will seem more like a cassoulet, or a hot pot, a ratatouille or a meritage of language. Drink it in....but be slow, it's quit tannic.
Next...365 from la Mancha.
Question of the day. What's you favorite restaurant?
